The Grand National Stable Range

The Grand National stable is designed and manufactured to even higher standards - these stables are made from the finest and most robust materials available and will withstand the wear and tear of the professional equestrian environment.

The Grand National Range stable is fitted with our unique design of stable door. All of our stable doors have galvanised steel frames and adjustable hinges, both the hinges and security bolts engage on galvanised steel supports.

The Grand National Stable Range Specifications

Erecting - Erecting and bolting down on your prepared single course of bricks are included in our prices.

Height - Height to eaves 8’2”(2500mm), overall height to ridge 11’2”(3004mm) when erected on a single course of bricks.

Framing - 2”(50mm) x 4”(100mm) CLS prepared selected graded timber with rounded edges spaced at approximately 23”(590mm) centres.

Cladding - 6”(150mm) shiplap from selected timber.

Base Plate - 2”(50mm) x 4”(100mm)

Steel Brackets - Plated steel support brackets are fitted to all 2”(50mm) x 4”(100mm) studwork and baseplates, 19 in the first unit, and 14 in extra units, giving maximum strength to kickboards and shiplap panels. (loose box only)

Stable Doors - Total height 90”(2286mm) x 48”(1219mm) both top and bottom doors have welded steel galvanised frames incorporating fully adjustable, hinges, sprung shoot bolts, kickover latch, cabin hooks and chewstrip. They are infilled with 1” (25mm) solid pressure treated rebated planed timber. All door furniture is galvanised to British Standards.

Chewstrip - Chewstrips are fitted around the whole door frame (top & sides)

Roof Purlins - 2”(50mm) x 5”(125mm) CLS prepared selected graded timber spaced at approximately 23”(590mm) centres held in position with steel joist hangers which are fitted to 2”(50mm) x 4”(100mm) prefabricated timber apex frames.

Roof Cladding - Onduline is manufactured in France and has been extensively used worldwide for the last 30 years in all types of roofing systems. It is maintenance free and extremely durable.

Cam Plates - Galvanised Cam Plates are used to secure all apexes.

Roof Lights - Roof lights are fitted to all loose boxes, corner units and tack rooms as standard.

Canopies - Canopies extend to 4’(1200mm) with diagonal bracing fixed into apex for extra strength. 6' canopy available upon request.

Kickboards - 3/4”(18mm) OS board fitted to 4’(1200mm) on main framing, horizontal stud work inserted between framing prevents objects falling behind kickboards.

Tack Room Security - All tack room dividing walls (stable side only) are fully lined to ridge with 3/4”(18mm) OS Board for extra security.

Tack Room Doors - Are also ply board lined to the rear for extra security.

Ventilation - Two louvred ventilators are fitted under the 4’(1200mm) canopy to increase air flow and also prevent wind driven rain seeping into loose boxes.

Windows - Solid 1/2”(12mm) steel bars welded into 3”(75mm) wide steel frame with sliding external perspex window mounted in steel runners.

Talk Holes - Solid 1/2”(12mm) galvanised steel bars welded into 3”(75mm) wide steel frame x 34”(864mm) x 45"(1143mm).

Gutters and Downpipe - Black 4”(100mm) half round gutters and downpipes are fitted to all front units (optional extra on field shelters).

Bolting Down - 1/2”(12mm) Hilti® plated steel para bolts are used to bolt down (2 per 12’ panel).

Gable Ends - All gable end roofs are finished with barge boards and points.

Rainwater Skirt - uPVC fitted behind the cladding which overhangs the course of bricks, preventing rainwater penetrating to the stable floor.
