The National Stable Range Specifications

Erecting - Erecting and bolting down on your prepared single course of bricks are included in our prices.

Height - Height to eaves 7’4”(2235mm), overall height to ridge 10’4”(3150mm) when erected on a single course of bricks.

Framing - 2”(50mm) x 3”(75mm) CLS prepared selected graded timber with rounded edges spaced at approximately 23”(590mm) centres.

Cladding - 6”(150mm) shiplap from selected timber.

Base Plate - 2”(50mm) x 3”(75mm).

Steel Brackets - Two steel support brackets are fitted to the bottom of each centre frame studwork and baseplate, giving added strength to kickboards and shiplap panels.

Stable Doors - Total height 82”(2083mm) x 48”(1200mm) wide x 21/2”(65mm) thick. Bottom door has a 15 degree angled, galvanised chewstrip to prevent against driving rain, extending to 15”(390mm) deep down the front of bottom doors and includes kick-over latch. The top door is ledge and braced 2”(50mm) x 5”(125mm) CLS framing. The bottom door is OS board lined, both are fitted with 8”(200mm) shootbolts, cabin hooks and 24”(600mm) hook and band hinges on a fully adjustable eye bolt. All door furniture is galvanised to British Standards.

Roof Purlins - 2”(50mm) x 5”(125mm) CLS prepared selected graded timber spaced at approximately 23”(590mm) held in position with steel joist hangers which are fitted to 2”(50mm) x 3”(75mm) prefabricated timber apex frames.

Roof Cladding - Onduline is manufactured in France and has been extensively used worldwide for the last 30 years in all types of roofing systems. It needs almost maintenance and extremely durable.

Cam Plates - Galvanised Cam Plates are used to secure all apexes.

Roof Lights - Roof Lights are fitted to all loose boxes, corner units and tack rooms.

Canopies - Canopies extend to 4’ (1200mm) with diagonal bracing fixed into apex for extra strength.

Kickboards - 1/2” (12mm) OS Board is fitted to 4’ (1200mm) on main framing, horizontal stud work inserted between framing prevents objects falling behind kickboards.

Tack Room Security - All tack room dividing walls (stable side only) are fully lined to ridge with 1/2”(12mm) OS Board for extra security.

Ventilation - Two louvred ventilators are fitted to each loose box high up under the 4’ (1200mm) canopy to increase air flow, also preventing wind driven rain seeping into loose boxes.

Windows - Solid 1/2” (12mm) galvanised steel bars welded into 3” (75mm) wide steel frame acting as a chewstrip with sliding external perspex window mounted in steel runners.

Gutters and Downpipe - Black 4” (100mm) half round guttering and downpipes are fitted to all front units. (optional extra on field shelters)

Gutter Purlings - 2” (50mm) x 5”(125mm) CLS.

Bolting Down - 1/2” (12mm) Hilti® plated steel para bolts are used to bolt down (2 per 12’ panel).

Gable Ends - All gable end roofs are finished with treated barge boards and points.

Rainwater Skirt - uPVC skirt is fitted behind the cladding which overhangs the course of bricks, preventing rainwater penetrating to the stable floor.
